death match regels, 5 rondes in ieder geval

The September 18th Shoot Boxing super fight between Andy Souwer and Hinata will be fought under death match rules which means that the fight will be 5 rounds long (3 minute rounds) and in case of a draw there will be a limitless number of extension rounds until a winner is declared.

Hinata said: “If it’s 5 rounds I’m confident that I can break his arm with my left middle kick.”

Nog wat nieuws van Souwer

Andy Souwer arrived in Japan on the 15th and held a training session in front of the press on the 16th. After the training session he talked to the press and said that he’s very happy to fight in Shoot Boxing again (last time was 2008) and he’s looking forward to fighting again (he hasn’t fought since January of this year). He enjoyed his holiday off from fighting by spending a little more time with his family. The time off has raised his motivation for fighting as well.

He thinks Hinata is a difficult opponent but didn’t want to talk about Hinata’s victory over Kyshenko since he thinks he himself and Kyshenko are completely different fighters. They have studied Hinata and know about his left middle kick and crescent moon kick. He trained for the fight based on what they know about Hinata and have come up with counter-plans for his techniques. His trainer added saying that while Hinata might have his left middle and crescent moon kick, Souwer has a great number of techniques.

He thinks that it’s unfortunate that he won’t participate in this years K-1 MAX -70kg World Tournament but he has his eyes set on this years S-cup instead.

Shoot Boxing ISHIN 4 is complete. Shoot Boxing legend Shishido’s opponent has been announced and Takeshi Ishikawa is out of his Super Featherweight Number 1 Contender Fight against Hiroaki Suzuki.

Shishido’s opponents comes out of the Mejiro Gym in Holland and is probably Miloud Geubli.

Suzuki’s new opponent is Thai and the fight is not for the number 1 contender spot anymore.
