HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- The little-known Sterling Ford defeated EliteXC veteran Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett by unanimous decision in the Action Fight League “Rock-N-Rumble 3” main event on Friday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Bennett and Ford opened up the first round with a lackluster performance, as the Florida-born fighter patiently waited to land his hard hands in hopes of knocking out Ford. A restless crowd booed and asked for action, as both fighters did little to claim victory. With 10 seconds left in the round, Bennett, a man known for his showboating, stopped and smiled for the cameras.

The second round continued with a lack of action, as both fighters chased each other and threw ineffective blows. Eventually, the fight went to the floor, where Ford worked from half guard. Ford threatened with a rear-naked choke, which he did not hold for long.

Ford took hold of the match in round three, as he searched for the submission but did little damage with his strikes. During a post-fight interview, Bennett claimed a cut to his hand affected his performance. The controversial Bennett -- who owns a lengthy rap sheet -- was supposed to fight Karl James Noons at a Strikeforce event on June 26; he was recently scratched from the card.
