Ufc 108 most stacked card ever?
UFC 108 which is not officially up on ufc.com but though reliable sources
as it turns out 3 champions titles?!
brock lesnar vs shane carwin
vitor belfort vs anderson silva
lyoto machida - shogun
these 3 title belts matches alone is a stacked card
and you got
thaigo silva vs rashad evans
junior dos santos vs gonzaga
i dont think any card ever will top this ever again!

Gabriel_GonzagaThe dirty little disease plaguing the sport of mixed martial arts known as staph infection has claimed yet another victim in the UFC’s heavyweight division following the news of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira’s recent withdrawal from his highly anticipated showdown with Cain Velasquez citing a bad case of the infection as his reasoning behind the decision.
It now looks as if Gabriel Gonzaga has been downed and is out of his expected UFC 108 bout with Junior dos Santos according to a recent report over at Yahoo! Sports‘ Steve Cofield.
Gonzaga was looking to build upon a recent TKO victory over Chris Tuchscherer following a knockout defeat suffered at the hands of Shane Carwin, while Dos Santos has gone undefeated in this stint in the Octagon, with stoppage wins over the likes of Fabricio Werdum, Stefan Struve and Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic to his credit.
There is no news as of this writing as to a possible replacement opponent for Dos Santos at the event, but stay tuned to FiveOuncesofPain.com as we promise to keep you updated as soon as any information becomes available.

Inmiddels vervanging voor een vervanger:
The Northwest Indiana Times is reporting that Sean Sherk is off the UFC 108 card:
Former lightweight champion Sean Sherk has suffered an injury and will not fight on the Jan. 2 UFC 108 card, The Times learned Thursday from sources close to Sherk's camp.
Sherk reportedly was scheduled to fight Jim Miller, though the bout had not yet officially been announced by the organization.
Ironically, Sherk was replacing Tyson Griffin, who just last week was forced off the card with an injury of his own.
There really are no words to explain the luck of this card. Guys are getting injured one after another, the guys who replace guys who got injured are getting injured, and one of the main event fighters is rumored to be hurt but being paid to not pull out.
No matter what kind of front Dana is putting up, the promotion is not thinking of this card as business as usual. I'm just sure everyone is ready to see January 2 come and go.

[UPDATE] #2 - Duane Ludwig vs. Jim Miller at UFC 108:
Stepping in to replace Sherk will be Duane "Bang" Ludwig who will return to the UFC for the first time since 2006 to take on Jim Miller in a 155lb contest.
