During Liberia’s 14-year long bloody civil war, one man who benefitted from the bloodshed more than any is a man named Joshua Milton Blahyi, better known as “General Butt Naked” for his habit of charging into battle completely bare-ass naked with only a machine gun.

This was a Damascene conversion like no other: the former tribal priest and warlord is now known as Pastor Joshua Milton Blahyi. Aged 39, he is married, a father of three and lives as a Christian preacher.
