Gevechten slaan nergens op, maar het is een briljant seizoen wat entertainment betreft...

mja is eigenlijk voor het eerst dat ik het gezeur eromheen ook volg, vind rampage eigenlijk nog altijd grappig, interesseert me geen fuck verder hoe het met zijn team gaat, voor de rest nogal standaard amerikaans, alle middelen krijgen om iets te doen en dan huilen en de clown uithangen...
Rampage mag natuurlijk de clown uithangen, die heeft nooit anders gedaan.
t is verder wel redelijk verslavend

If you saw the confrontation between Rashad Evans and Team Rampage assistant coach Tiki Ghosn that was edited out of a recent episode of “The Ultimate Fighter,” then we don’t have to tell you that things got heated in a hurry. Just like a family reunion, one minute it’s idle talk and the next minute we’re headed out to the parking lot for a fight. Cooler heads, as they often do, prevailed in the end, and no “Never Back Down”-esque parking lot fight occurred, but Tiki wants you to know that a) he was definitely going to do it, and b) Evans is obviously scared of him:

Seriously, Rashad hasn’t faced the caliber of strikers I have in my career and only after he fights a couple of top end elite strikers can he talk - until then he has no business criticizing me. Of course he backs down and starts running his mouth to get out of the situation - I could see the fear in his eyes when we were making our way to the parking lot, he doesn’t want to mix it up with me at all. Seriously, I was seconds away from laying him out but I had to restrain myself because the cameras were rolling.”

Last nights show started off more aggressive than any of the others. I really liked how they set this one up. But, first I want to clear the Darrill drinking thing up. Darrill only drank that first day. He did this because we had media day the second and no training. Darrill did not drink like they were acing in the beginning of the show, and especially not the week he fought. A little Hollywood editing magic for ya, lol. His fight was in the beginning of the third week, and the drinking situation happened in the second of the show, or on media day.

The Rampage and Darrill argument was classic. I loved that Darrill got in his face several times and Rampage looked more like a bitch than he has ever. Darrill is a great guy, but unlike Zak, he won’t let someone just rip his ass and take it. With the expectation of Zak, no one would.

Darrill took it as a joke in the beginning but after weeks of this from Rampage, and that’s all he really said was “Titties”, it was stupid. Rampage has one or two funny moments, then he dwells on them for eternity and won’t let go. Everyone thinks Rampage is funny but he really is not that witty or funny. Darrel did what anyone (except Zak would do). We’re not scared of Rampage, nor would we take his bullshit.

The training sequences between the two teams was exactly how they went. No Hollywood editing there. Rampage spent time making a poster of us and revealing it to his time (wasted practice time). Then when Zak got cut they ran to Kimbo and started hyping him to get ready. Haha, what a bunch of bullshit. Zak might not be the most respected guy in the house, but he was going to fight no matter what. I knew that about him; at least he would fight.

Then we got to see the great black ghetto hope get all rallied just to not fight again. Funny how he would barely train when he was out of it, but the fist sign of him being able to come back, he was ready to learn and wanted to train hard, lol. He should have been doing this long before the show.

Our practice was on point and I even learned how to do a perfect superman punch from Phil Nurse. That guy was amazing and a great coach. He is tiny but he hits like a truck, and is fast as hell. Now there were some things I don’t think would work well for heavies, but he is a badass coach. That’s just another example of Rashad trying to give us the best coaching while we were there. When it came to fight game planning, they had Darrill ready to go.

I don’t know if anyone noticed, but did you see the other superstar Nate “The Great” Marquardt was there at picks as well?

The fight between Darrill and Zak was not a surprise to us. Although Zak came out blazing and took him down, he got caught. Everyone does, and it sucks that it happens there. I think if anything, Zak got some respect from the viewers, and Darrill showed he could take punishment like none other and still win. It was a great fight and I was happy for both fighters.

The show ends with me calling Matt Mitrione the “biggest fucking douche bag”. I can’t tell you why but it gets dramatic, funny, and very childish. Trust me I am excited to see it, and the best fight of the show so far is next week.

Maar zie hem toch veel liever dan Rashad..

Dit was trouwens ook een discutabele uitslag IMHO, ook al snap ik em wel...

Was er na het Engeland vs USA episode 2 eigenlijk al weer klaar mee maar ben toch weer aan het nieuwe seizoen begonnen en ook nu weer af gehaakt na Wes Sims zijn pot. Het is mij zoals eerder gemald te Amerikaans en door "brown nose" Rashad vind ik zelfs de voor de hand liggende grappen van Rampage niet eens meer leuk. Ze hebben de aandacht op het MMA door seizoen 1 helemaal goed gehyped maar zijn het nu net zo hard aan het afbreken met dit soort freak shows imo. Het is al erg genoeg dat er een show worstelaar kampioen is bij de UFC maar dat NFL gasten niet kunnen knokken wisten wij sinds het debacle wat Bob Sapp heet allang...

Het seizoen wordt slechter en slechter. De gevechten gaan nergens over, condities van een vissticks, technieken van een natte dweil en grappen die zelfs bij de teletubbies nog worden afgekraakt.

Moet hier nou iemand uit voortvloeien die in potentie een Minotauro of een Lesnar kan verslaan?

Serieus, dit was echt tijdverspilling: een half uur gebeurt er helemaal niets, dan begint het gevecht waar je op zit te wachten, dan gebeurt er nog eens tien minuten niets, en dan wordt de verkeerde tot winnaar uitgeroepen. The end. :bash:

9/10 keer als een mma gevecht pure standup is, is het gewoon te erg om naar te kijken.. BORING!

Nu ook weer: geen head movement, geen dekking, geen conditie, combinaties die niet verder komen dan jab-cross met heel af en toe een mislukte hoek etc etc.

Wat een kut seizoen en wat een kut aflevering. De previews voordat het seizoen begon zagen er veelbelovend uit maarja.
De enige die ik props kan geven zijn de editors.

wat een KUT seizoen, oninterresante vechters/persoonlijkheden super amateuristische wedstrijden... en dat gezeik over Kimbo die bijna elke aflevering misschien weer terug komt... kimbo wordt echt zo hard gebruikt om kijkers te trekken... echt schaamteloos van White

'The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale' Preview

This Saturday brings the 10th season of “The Ultimate Fighter” to a close, as heavyweight of heavyweights, Roy Nelson, takes on NFL convert and all-around physical freak Brendan Schaub to decide this season’s winner. The usual intrigue of a “TUF” finale is only enhanced by an undercard that features Matt Hamill and Jon Jones locking horns to decide the next big thing in the light heavyweight division.

Backing up those quality bits of violence is a lightweight duel pitting Frankie Edgar against Matt Veach in a matchup that could have title implications for Edgar. Of course you also have Kimbo Slice making his official UFC debut against Houston Alexander. All in all, no better time to get hyped up, so get your knowledge fix with another round of quality fight talk.

Roy Nelson vs. Brendan Schaub

The Breakdown: As the most experienced and proven of this season’s competitors, Nelson was an easy pick to make it to the finals. His opponent, Schaub, was just another NFL convert with an impressive collection of YouTube clips and little else going for him. It turns out those clips had more going for them than anyone thought, though, as Schaub’s run through the tournament has turned him into one of the most talked about heavyweight prospects in the game today.

That fact makes this bout all the more disappointing since there is no way a guy with four professional fights to his name should be fighting Nelson, a proven veteran of 17 bouts. Nelson has the chin to survive Schaub’s power and the mat game to exploit his still unpolished jiu-jitsu. Even if Schaub can keep this bout upright, there’s no guarantee he can match Nelson’s surprising striking savvy.

The X-Factor: Schaub certainly wouldn’t be the first unexpected finalist to develop into a far better fighter than anyone expected, and his already obvious talent can’t be ignored. Nelson appears to be the better fighter right now, but no one knows if Schaub is going into this bout the same fighter we’ve grown accustomed to.

The Bottom Line: From the start of this season, I had Schaub tabbed as the unknown to keep an eye on. Despite the fact that all logic dictates a win for Nelson, I’ll take Schaub to shock everyone and score a come-from-behind TKO late in the second round. In the event this pick doesn’t pan out, I’ll just claim it was all rigged.

Oja, één ding nog, de eerste ronde van de partij tussen Kimbo en Houston Alexander bestond uit een Kimbo die praktisch niks deed, en Houston die aan de lopende band legkicks gaf. Verder niets. Cecil Peoples was een van de judges. Eén van de judges scoorde het gevecht 30-27 voor Kimbo. Kan iemand die Peoples eens een paar legkicks gaan geven?

Jon Jones Loses Hamill Appeal

Jon Jones' appeal to the Nevada State Athletic Commission to overturn referee Steve Mazagatti's decision in his bout against Matt Hamill earlier this month has been denied. The NSAC stated that they don't overturn decisions and decided against ruling on the appeal.

Heavy.com confirmed the news with Jason Genet, the manager of Jones, Shane Carwin and other fighters.

Jones was disqualified after landing two illegal downward elbows that forced Mazagatti to stop the bout. Hamill was not able to continue because of a shoulder injury, and the bout was called off. But for the first time in Nevada history, Mazagatti utilized instant replay and, upon noting the illegal elbows, disqualified Jones and awarded the victory to Hamill.

Jones filed the appeal because Hamill wasn't able to continue the fight due to a shoulder injury and not the illegal elbows.
